Who Doesn’t Love Results?
I hope it's noticeable that I've been trying new things! Even though my first video has the most views right now (I think the title has a lot to do with that), there's not much to that video. I leave a place, ride for a bit, video ends. I don't mean to put it down, but as you may imagine, the real victory of that video is its sheer existence, just breaking that hurdle of publishing the first video.
Video #2 was trying out a shorter form (2 min). Mainly because that's all that it was, but also to see how it performs. So far, it's second best, but it's also the second video, so I'm not sure of any conclusions yet.
I thought my third video (above) would be relatively popular among the videos I know I could make, because it features another rider. But so far, it's not performing well. I did try out more camera movement in it, which was fun. I also cut the music volume for a moment so you can hear our exchange after the tunnel - mainly her excellent laugh! This is what's great about a 360 camera (mine is an Insta360 One X2) - choosing your shot afterwards.
Since that one, I've made the opening and closing title cards, starting in my fourth video. I am torn on if I should have put "like & subscribe", but for now I'm hoping people already well-know that those things are helpful and appreciated. Even so, I will want something different soon.
As for the rest of the fourth video, this is one I was very excited to share. This was my first recorded, full-deal trip. I mention it in the description that I originally wanted to ride this road years ago, but certain factors essentially prohibited that. This footage is the first half, give or take. That road leads to Victor, CO, and if I remember correctly, I was able to record that far, but didn't have enough memory left on the card to record from there to Cripple Creek, and back home - which was some gorgeous scenery as well. That stretch is on the agenda for this year!
